She is beginning her practicum as a therapist in Winnipeg and is passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate emotional, relational, and life challenges.

She also has a special interest in supporting individuals dealing with school-related pressures, relationship concerns, divorce, family conflict, and other experiences that can leave people feeling emotionally overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from themselves.

She understands that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and believes therapy should offer a space where clients feel heard, respected, and safe. Her warm, collaborative, and client-centred approach focuses on building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, compassion, and openness. Within this supportive environment, clients are encouraged to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

She tailors her approach to reflect each client’s unique strengths, goals, values, and lived experiences, recognizing that every person’s healing journey is different.

Kristina believes that with the right support, individuals can build the insight, confidence, and tools needed to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and create positive change in their lives.

Hi, I’m Elese.

If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or unsure of how to manage what you’re experiencing, I offer a calm and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are looking for support through difficult emotions, personal challenges, and periods of change.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation concerns, low self-esteem, academic pressures, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I also work with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Clients often choose to work with me when they want to better understand themselves, explore patterns in their relationships, strengthen their emotional connections, or develop practical tools for coping with everyday challenges. Together, we can work toward building self-awareness, confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of control in your life.

My approach to counselling is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I strive to create a gentle, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and talk openly about what matters to you. I will meet you where you are, listen with curiosity, and work alongside you to identify goals that feel meaningful and realistic.

I believe therapy should be personalized rather than follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on your needs and goals, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centred Therapy. These approaches can help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and relationships while developing strategies to support your wellbeing.

My experience working with children and adolescents in school settings has shaped my interest in supporting young people as they navigate mental health concerns, academic pressures, relationships, identity, and the challenges that can arise throughout life. I believe that having the right support can make difficult experiences feel more manageable and can help create space for meaningful personal growth.

I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Prince Edward Island. I am currently completing the practicum component of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and am a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. As an intern counsellor, my goal is to create a supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel valued, understood, and encouraged as you work toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and wellbeing.

Chantel uses evidence-based and person-centered interventions in her clinical practice, particularly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and is certified in the Unified Protocol (UP).

She has a passion for working with people with Intellectual Disability (ID) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (AD). In her role as a direct-support professional, Chantel taught personal development skills, assisted in personal care support, and participated in value-based planning. Using de-escalation skills, she supported adults with positive behaviour support strategies, and crisis management.

Some key areas that she specializes in are anxiety, depression, peer relationships, self-esteem building, emotional regulation, grief/loss, behaviour support, and establishing healthy boundaries, as well as supporting parents who have children with needle phobia. Chantel’s focus is to empower individuals to implement change and lifelong learning into their daily lives.

Hi, I’m Jordan.

If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of yourself, I offer a supportive space where you can talk openly and feel understood. I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults who are navigating mental health concerns, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional challenges, or difficult life circumstances.

I also enjoy working with creative individuals and people involved in acting, performance, music, or other creative careers. These paths can bring unique pressures related to confidence, identity, self-expression, uncertainty, and being seen by others. My background in acting gives me a personal understanding of the courage and vulnerability involved in creative work.

I have experience supporting children and adolescents with mental health challenges and diverse needs, including ADHD, Substance Use Disorder, intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I also support clients who are working through stress, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, self-worth, and major life changes.

My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, respect, and support. I aim to create a comfortable, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe, heard, and valued. While counselling can involve difficult conversations, I also believe there can be room for appropriate humour, lightness, and genuine human connection.

My work is grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps clients explore the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, we can identify patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing, develop more balanced perspectives, and build practical coping strategies that are meaningful for your life.

An early interest in acting sparked my curiosity about human behaviour and the experiences that shape who we become. That curiosity eventually led me toward psychology and counselling. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and make changes that feel authentic rather than forced.

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Prince Edward Island, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Nutrition. I am currently completing the practicum component of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Outside of counselling, I live on Prince Edward Island and enjoy fitness, nutrition, basketball, music, acting, and meaningful connection with others. My goal is to offer encouragement, practical support, and a therapeutic relationship where you can move toward greater self-understanding, confidence, and resilience.

Hi, I’m Sharon.

As a Mi’kmaq person and a member of Qalipu First Nation, I bring my cultural identity and lived perspective to my work. I welcome Indigenous and First Nations clients and value creating a respectful space where each person’s culture, identity, values, and experiences are honoured.

You may be a good fit for counselling with me if you are a healthcare worker feeling burned out, a caregiver carrying the emotional demands of supporting someone else, an older adult navigating grief or loneliness, a student balancing multiple responsibilities, or an adult moving through a difficult life transition. I support clients experiencing stress, anxiety, grief and loss, workplace pressures, communication concerns, loneliness, changing family roles, and uncertainty about what comes next.

Healthcare workers often spend so much time caring for others that their own well-being gets pushed aside. My experience in Newfoundland and Labrador’s healthcare system has helped me understand the pressures of heavy workloads, compassion fatigue, emotionally difficult situations, and trying to balance work with personal life. I offer a confidential space where you can set those responsibilities down and focus on yourself.

I also have a particular interest in supporting caregivers. Caring for an aging parent, spouse, partner, or family member living with illness or disability can bring love and meaning, but it can also bring exhaustion, stress, difficult decisions, changing family roles, and grief. I understand the importance of caregivers having a space where they can be supported—not just expected to keep going.

I welcome older adults and seniors who may be adjusting to changes in health, independence, relationships, or daily life. My experience visiting private long-term care homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, working in home support, and supporting aging family members has shaped my appreciation for dignity, connection, independence, and the importance of feeling heard.

I also understand the pressures faced by adult and mature students who are balancing education with work, family, caregiving, and other responsibilities. As someone who has continued my own education while building a career, I understand how difficult it can be to keep moving forward when life already feels full.

Communication difficulties are another area that is personally meaningful to me. Having grown up with a stutter, I understand that communication can affect much more than speech. It can influence confidence, self-esteem, relationships, school, employment, and social experiences. I support clients who want to explore the emotional impact of stuttering or other communication concerns, build confidence, manage anxiety, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and feel more comfortable using their voice. My work in this area focuses on the emotional and psychological effects rather than treating the speech disorder itself.

My counselling style is warm, calm, collaborative, and down to earth. I am a quiet and attentive listener, and I believe people need room to speak without feeling rushed, judged, or pressured to find an immediate solution. My approach is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which explores the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we can identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, develop practical coping strategies, build confidence, establish healthier boundaries, and work through difficult situations at a pace that feels manageable.

I completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Thompson Rivers University, a Master of Population and Public Health at Memorial University, and diplomas in Health Information Management and Office Administration – Medical. I am CHIM-certified and have more than a decade of experience in Newfoundland and Labrador’s healthcare system, including mental health and addictions, rehabilitation, health information, healthcare administration, and community supports.

I am currently completing the practicum component of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University through a clinically supervised internship with Your Life Design Inc. I am also registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association as a student practitioner. You do not need to have everything figured out before booking counselling. If you are looking for a counsellor who will listen carefully, respect your experiences, and work alongside you without judgment or pressure, I would be honoured to support you.

Hi, I’m Taylor.

Counselling does not have to begin with a crisis. It can begin with feeling constantly on edge, second-guessing yourself, carrying too much for too long, or realizing that the way you have been coping no longer feels sustainable. I offer a supportive place to pause, make sense of what is happening, and begin moving toward greater confidence, connection, and well-being.

I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, life changes, or the everyday challenges that can gradually become overwhelming.

You may be considering counselling because you are going through a difficult transition, struggling to trust yourself, feeling disconnected from the people around you, or trying to rebuild after a painful experience. I have a particular interest in supporting women and children affected by domestic violence, including those navigating change, uncertainty, safety, and healing.

My experience supporting women and children leaving domestic violence has shown me how much courage it can take to begin again. I have provided trauma-informed crisis and ongoing support during periods of significant transition, as well as peer support counselling that offered individuals a place to feel heard, understood, and respected. I have also supported youth as they built confidence, developed coping skills, and worked through challenges in their everyday lives.

I believe counselling should be shaped around the person sitting in front of me. Your experiences, strengths, needs, and goals are unique, and our work together should reflect that. My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I aim to create a space where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without feeling judged, rushed, or pressured to have all the answers.

Depending on what brings you to counselling, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviours; develop practical coping strategies; strengthen communication; build self-esteem; or clarify what matters most to you. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to support clients in making meaningful changes that feel realistic and true to who they are.

I believe that progress does not always happen in a straight line. Sometimes it begins with understanding yourself more clearly, recognizing your own strengths, or having a safe person beside you while you work out what comes next. My hope is to walk alongside you with compassion, genuine support, and respect for your individual journey.

I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies with an additional focus in Psychology at Mount Saint Vincent University. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and my supervised counselling practicum with Your Life Design Inc. I am based outside Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Your first session does not need to be a polished explanation of everything you have been through. We can begin with what feels most present for you right now and take the next step together.

Hi, I’m Karmen.

Wherever you find yourself in life, and whatever has brought you to counselling, you do not have to navigate it alone. I work with young adults over 18, adults, and families who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, difficult transitions, relationship challenges, or emotional concerns that have left them feeling overwhelmed, hurt, or uncertain.

I have a particular interest in supporting individuals who are navigating abuse, unhealthy or toxic relationships, addiction, loss, and other difficult life circumstances. I also support clients who are facing pressures at school, at home, or in their relationships, and who want to reconnect with themselves, develop greater self-compassion, and feel more grounded.

Clients often choose to work with me when they are looking for a counsellor who will listen with empathy, patience, and genuine understanding. Together, we can explore what you have been through, identify what you need, build on your strengths, and develop practical ways to cope with the challenges you are facing.

Empathy is at the heart of my practice. I believe that we all deserve compassion, including compassion for ourselves. The painful experiences we go through may become part of our story, but they do not define who we are or what we are capable of.

My approach is collaborative, client-centred, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you rather than direct your journey. I offer a safe and caring space where you can explore what matters to you at a pace that feels comfortable.

I believe meaningful change can begin when we feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to help you develop greater self-understanding, strengthen your relationship with yourself and others, and move toward healing and personal growth in a way that feels authentic to you.

I was born and raised on a farm in northern Alberta, and my experiences have shaped my appreciation for presence, curiosity, connection, and compassion. Outside of counselling, I enjoy spending time with my young daughter, who reminds me every day of the importance of being present and connected.

I completed my Bachelor of Commerce through Athabasca University and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I offer counselling sessions as part of my clinically supervised internship with Your Life Design Inc. and am a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

I’m a Counselling Therapist, and my passion is being alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges, make sense of their experiences, and step into a healthier, more grounded version of themselves. I work with university students — especially those in medical school, or other helping professional programs — who are balancing academic demands, personal growth, and relationships. I also work closely with people who want to explore and heal from trauma, whether it’s a recent event or something that’s been carried silently for years.

Before becoming a therapist, I taught first and second graders in Fort McMurray, Alberta. I then served as a school counsellor in Fort McMurray and with the PEI Public Schools Branch after returning home to PEI, Canada to be closer to my family. Those experiences taught me that people thrive when they feel truly seen, heard, and understood, and that healing often begins in the presence of someone who believes in you, even when you’re struggling to believe in yourself.

I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a 9-month clinical therapy internship program under the mentorship of an experienced clinical supervisor. My approach is structured yet deeply personal, I don’t just meet you where you are, I walk with you every step of the way. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, integrating mindfulness practices to help you slow down, tune in, and reconnect with yourself.

When you work with me, you can expect a safe, supportive space where nothing is “too much” to talk about. I’ll help you uncover the patterns and beliefs that have been holding you back, while shining a light on the strengths and resilience you already carry. You don’t have to have it all figured out before starting therapy, you just have to be willing to take that first step. I’ll be right there beside you as you do.

If you’re ready to explore your story, heal what’s been weighing on you, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are, I would be honoured to be part of that journey.

I hold a 500 hour MODO yoga teacher certification and I value integrating therapeutic approaches infused with mindfulness for healing and growth. I enjoy living an active lifestyle, spending time with family and friends, and the outdoors with my golden retriever.

Yvonne Lee offers warm, steady, and practical counselling for children, teens, adults, and families. Her style is supportive, clear, and skill-building, with a strong focus on helping clients feel more grounded and confident in everyday life.

Supporting students, young adults, adults, caregivers, and neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and Intellectual Disability (ID)

Supporting clients experiencing anxiety, stress, uncertainty, overwhelm, and burnout

Building self-esteem, self-awareness, and personal growth

Helping clients develop greater balance between their personal, professional, and social lives

Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centred Therapy

Hi, I’m Abby.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, burned out, uncertain, or disconnected from your confidence, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with young adults, students, caregivers, and adults who are looking for a safe and supportive space to understand what they are experiencing and begin moving forward.

I also support neurodivergent individuals, including people with ADHD and intellectual disability (ID). I have a particular interest in working with clients who are navigating life transitions, disability-related challenges, career or employment concerns, or the emotional impact of feeling stuck, misunderstood, or unsure of what comes next.

My approach to counselling is person-centred, collaborative, and strengths-based. I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and expressing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I utilize Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients better understand themselves, build confidence, manage difficult emotions, and create greater balance in their personal, professional, and social lives.

My professional experience has focused on supporting adults with career planning, developmental and dual disabilities, employment readiness, and finding employment that reflects their needs, abilities, and goals. This experience strengthened my passion for helping individuals cope with the mental and emotional challenges that can arise when facing difficult or uncertain life circumstances.

I live in a small rural community on Prince Edward Island and grew up in a family of fishermen and women. My personal and professional experiences have helped me understand the importance of connection, compassion, and feeling truly heard. I believe connection can come through family, friends, community, nature, and the therapeutic relationship we build together.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. As a counselling intern, my goal is to provide accessible and confidential support while working collaboratively with you to understand where you are, clarify where you would like to go, and develop a path forward that feels meaningful and achievable.

Hi, I’m Lauryn.

If you’re feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, stuck in self-criticism, or uncertain about what comes next, I offer a warm and supportive space to slow down, feel understood, and make sense of what you’re experiencing. I work with young adults and adults, including university students, who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, grief, academic stress, life transitions, identity questions, body image concerns, and uncertainty about their future.

I also support clients who are experiencing disordered eating or the emotional challenges associated with chronic health conditions, including PCOS/PMOS. If you feel disconnected from your body, overwhelmed by health concerns, or caught between what you think, feel, and experience physically, I can help you explore these connections with compassion and curiosity.

Clients may choose to work with me when they want to better understand themselves, develop practical coping strategies, and feel more equipped to manage difficult emotions or life changes. Together, we can work on emotional regulation, self-awareness, psychological flexibility, and finding ways to move forward that are consistent with your values.

My approach is person-centred, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while incorporating somatic-informed and psychodynamic perspectives when appropriate. I will work alongside you to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical experiences while helping you develop tools that feel realistic and meaningful for your life.

I am particularly interested in the connection between physical and emotional well-being. My background in kinesiology has shaped my understanding of how our bodies, thoughts, and emotions can influence one another. I believe that supporting mental health can involve paying attention not only to what is happening in our minds, but also to how our experiences are showing up in our bodies.

As part of my supervised counselling practicum through Your Life Design Inc., I am currently offering a limited number of no-fee virtual counselling sessions under clinical supervision. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to create a space where you feel respected, accepted, and supported at your own pace.

I completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology at Acadia University and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Outside of counselling, I enjoy spending time with my dog, getting outside, and trying new recipes. As someone who is also a bit of a homebody, I value the comfort, connection, and simple routines that make everyday life meaningful.

Hi, I’m Karina.

You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support. If you are feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, uncertain about the future, or disconnected from yourself, I offer a calm and welcoming space to talk about what you are carrying. I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, students, veterans, and couples as they navigate personal, emotional, and relationship challenges.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have a particular interest in supporting people who are carrying pressure from school, career, family, or home life and want to reconnect with themselves, feel more grounded, and better understand what they need.

Clients often choose to work with me when they want to feel heard without judgment and have an active voice in their counselling. Together, we can explore what is happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, develop healthier boundaries, and create practical tools for coping. With couples, I help create space for honest communication, greater understanding, and healthier ways of responding to one another.

My approach is client-centred, strengths-based, calm, curious, and collaborative. I believe counselling should be shaped around your goals, values, experiences, culture, and preferences rather than follow a one-size-fits-all model. I aim to create a safe and respectful environment where you can speak openly and feel genuinely understood.

I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, adapting my approach to each client. This may involve exploring unhelpful thoughts and patterns, setting attainable goals, strengthening coping skills, processing difficult experiences, and supporting meaningful changes in your relationships and daily life.

My interest in mental health grew during my three years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces. That experience led me to pursue counselling and strengthened my desire to support people through difficult periods and life changes. I am originally from Ukraine and now live on Prince Edward Island. My experience living in both Ukraine and Canada has helped me appreciate how culture, language, identity, and belonging can shape a person’s experiences. I provide counselling in English and Russian and value creating a respectful, culturally responsive space for every client.

I completed a Bachelor of Psychology at the University of Prince Edward Island and am currently completing the practicum component of my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University through a clinically supervised internship with Your Life Design Inc. As a counselling intern, my goal is to meet you where you are and work alongside you toward where you would like to be. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and brings a strong background in education, student support, and personal development. As an intern therapist, Andean works under the supervision of a registered clinical supervisor and offers thoughtful, grounded support to the clients he works with.

Andean has spent many years working with youth and families in educational settings, supporting a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and learning needs. His experience has shaped a calm, practical, and patient approach to care. He understands that life can feel heavy at times, and he offers a space where clients can slow down, speak openly, and feel supported without judgment.

Andean works with youth (12+) and adults from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. He values honesty, trust, and connection in the counselling relationship, and works alongside clients to help them better understand what they’re carrying and how to move through it in ways that feel manageable and realistic.

His approach is flexible and shaped around each client’s needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). He supports clients in building practical coping tools, strengthening self-awareness, and finding clearer ways to navigate everyday challenges.

Hi, I’m Tanya.

Some people come to counselling knowing exactly what they want to change. Others simply know that something is no longer working, that life feels too heavy, or that they no longer feel like themselves. You do not need to have the perfect words—or a clear plan—before beginning. Counselling can be a place to slow down, sort through what is happening, and discover what you need next.

I work with young adults, adults, students, professionals, and neurodivergent individuals who are navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, difficult life transitions, or emotional overwhelm. I am also particularly interested in supporting individuals affected by mental health and addictions, trauma, homelessness, intellectual disabilities, and other challenging life circumstances.

My community-based experience has shown me that people’s struggles rarely exist in isolation. Mental health, relationships, housing, work, addiction, identity, and life circumstances can all affect one another. I aim to understand the whole person and the context of what they are experiencing, rather than reduce them to a diagnosis, a difficult period, or a single part of their story.

You may be a good fit for counselling with me if you feel disconnected from yourself or others, unsure what steps to take, or overwhelmed by circumstances that have become difficult to manage. We can work together to understand what is contributing to your distress, identify what matters most to you, and find practical ways to move forward.

My approach is client-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is not to tell you who to be or how to live. Instead, I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and work alongside you as you identify your own goals, strengths, and direction.

Counselling with me may include developing coping strategies, strengthening relationships, establishing healthier boundaries, building self-confidence, improving emotional well-being, and learning to trust your own thoughts, feelings, and decisions. I believe that even when your strengths are difficult to see, they are still there—and they can become a starting point for change.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I tailor these approaches to your needs, experiences, and preferences. Some sessions may involve practical tools and goal-setting, while others may focus on making sense of your experiences and feeling less alone in them.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology through Athabasca University and a Certificate in Addictions Studies through Mount Royal University. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and my counselling internship with Your Life Design Inc. I am also a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

If you have been waiting until you feel more certain, more organized, or more “ready” to reach out, you do not have to wait any longer. I would be honoured to offer a respectful, honest, and compassionate space where you can begin exactly where you are.

Adetola holds a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA, has a rich background in theology, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP). This multidisciplinary foundation allows him to approach therapy with a nuanced understanding of the human condition, integrating spiritual inquiry with psychodynamically informed (Intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy), evidence-based practice.

Grounded in psychodynamic and expressive therapies, Adetola works with individuals facing mood and personality difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, and complex trauma. His work focuses on uncovering the unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and conflicted inner narratives that shape how clients experience themselves and others in the present. Sessions can feel exploratory, emotionally intense, and at times challenging, as he actively invites clients to question familiar stories about who they are and how their relationships work.

While Adetola believes that each person is inherently worthy and whole, he also views symptoms and distress as meaningful expressions of deeper, often unconscious struggles. Rather than offering primarily supportive or advice driven therapy, he is interested in helping clients examine the underlying emotional and relational dynamics that give rise to their current difficulties.

In the therapy room, Adetola’s stance is warm and deeply engaged, but also direct and challenging. He encourages clients to bring forward thoughts, feelings, fantasies, and impulses they might normally censor, and together they explore the tensions, contradictions, and desires that emerge. By working with these less visible aspects of experience (including those that may feel uncomfortable, shameful, or confusing), Adetola aims to facilitate genuine psychological change, greater freedom in relationships, and a more integrated, authentic sense of self.
