As a dedicated teacher and vice-principal, Bridget is committed to delivering quality education to students of all ages. She has a strong focus on encouraging and coaching colleagues, addressing the academic and social-emotional needs of students, and enhancing the school curriculum.
Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, where she has developed a diverse set of therapeutic skills and a client-centred approach.
Her academic training has equipped her with a solid foundation in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also incorporates interventions from other theoretical orientations, allowing her to adopt a flexible and individualized approach that meets the unique needs of each client. Yorkville University has granted her the necessary approval to counsel children aged seven and older, as well as adults.

Erin Despres is a dedicated Direct Support Professional with over 10 years of experience. Erin specializes in supporting individuals with Intellectual Disability (ID) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), bringing creativity and intuition to her behavior support service work. As a child and youth care worker by profession, Erin is adept at assisting individuals and families seeking behavior support strategies.
Erin is a highly skilled and dedicated direct support professional offering services for both children and adults. Her primary focus is to provide personalized and compassionate support, ensuring the well-being and development of her clients.
Drawing on her deep understanding of behavioral support strategies and evidence-based interventions, Erin addresses the unique needs and challenges faced by both children and adults.

She also served as a Transitional Housing Support Worker at the Canadian Mental Health Association from December 2020 to July 2023, providing life coaching and practical skills development.
Beyond her professional commitments, Erin volunteers with the Island EMS Patient and Family Committee, offering valuable feedback on policies and procedures.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the University of Prince Edward Island, Erin’s educational background includes a diploma in Legal Administration and a certification as a Child and Youth Care Worker with Addiction Support. She is also certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, as well as Brain Story Certification, a program based on the Brain Story science, which comprehensively explores how early experiences shape brain development and impact lifelong health and well-being.

Chantel Doran

Hemophilia runs in her family; her youngest son suffers from a severe case. Chantel has training in needle phobia, empowering parent(s) of children with a rare disorder, and understanding the difficulties associated with accessing a Portacath as a parent and/or caregiver.
Chantel resides in Prince Edward Island with her two children and husband. Her husband is a co-founder of a non-profit day program for adults with intellectual disabilities called TAJ Day-Program. Justyn Henley

Justyn is a dedicated student practitioner registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). He is completing his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through an internship with Your Life Design Inc.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Justyn holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. His background includes research on post-secondary sexual violence policies and experience as a group therapy co-facilitator with New Leaf, Canada’s longest-running non-profit counselling organization. These roles helped him develop skills in addressing personal accountability, generational trauma, mood disorders, intimate partner violence, communication, and parenting.

Lauren Lawless is a dedicated student practitioner registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Originally from PEI, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Prince Edward Island. Her background includes four years of teaching elementary school in Fort McMurray, Alberta, where she also served as a school counsellor. In this role, Lauren supported children aged 6–12, helping them develop emotional regulation skills through mindfulness and play-based approaches.

Karen has spent the last decade working as a School Counsellor with Prince Edward Island’s Public Schools Branch. She taught for nine years prior to this.
